Dobyns-Benett High School's marching band has been chosen to march in the presidential inaugural parade Jan. 21 in Washington, D.C.
Band Director Lafe Cook said the band got the invitation Tuesday and likely will stay overnight in the greater Washington area Sunday, Jan. 20, and
Monday, Jan. 21, before returning to Kingsport Tuesday. Jan. 22.
Cook this marks the first time the band has marched for an inauguration.
