A Kingsport man faces drug charges after police responded to a report of a suspicious individual a city gas station, finding crack and marijuana in his possession.
A press release from Kingsport police says the incident occurred Saturday morning at Sunoco, 1205 Lynn Garden Drive. Officers were dispatched to the store to check on a suspicious man, later identified as Travis Tanner, 29, of 709 Morison Ave.
Vice and patrol officers searched Tanner's 2012 Ford Focus, allegedly locating more than a half gram of crack cocaine, less than a half ounce of marijuana and $962 in cash. He was arrested on drug charges and booked into the city jail.
Police say Tanner also had an outstanding warrant out of Sullivan County for violation of probation.
