A Bristol, Tenn., man has been arrested on 28 charges of sex crimes against a 16-year-old girl.
Last week a Sullivan County grand jury returned sealed indictments against Richard Christopher Hale, 29, of 105 Dale Place. Sullivan County Assistant District Attorney Julie Canter says Hale, who was arrested late Thursday, faces 15 counts if aggravated statutory rape and 13 counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor.
The indictments allege the incidents occurred between Dec of 2011 and June of 2012. Canter said the Sullivan County Sheriff's Office investigated the case.
Hale's next court date is set for Dec. 14. He was released from the Sullivan County jail on Saturday after posting $50,000 bond.
