KINGSPORT — What police describe as an attempted murder Friday night left one man hospitalized and another jailed Saturday.
According to a Kingsport Police Department press release, police responded to Building K at Model City Apartments, where Richard Johnson had been shot numerous times during an altercation.
Johnson had gunshot wounds to the neck and upper body, according to the release, and investigation revealed Dalton Doran as the person who had shot Johnson. Doran, age 18, of 1000 Stonegate Road, D14, was located and arrested later near Holly Hills Apartments.
