In the contested Hawkins County Board of Education races, District 2 incumbent board member Burl Smith was unseated by newcomer Chris Christian by a vote of 566 to 334. In the District 3 race, incumbent Kurt Cornett was defeated by former board member Kathy Cradic 363 to 147 with a third candidate, newcomer Darin McClellan, receiving 79 votes.

The only other contested county race was for the District 3 constable seat in which Republican Jerry Matlock defeated Democrat Joshua Bellamy 455 to 110.
