KINGSPORT — A Kingsport man was listed in critical condition Sunday afternoon after the motorcycle he was driving was involved in a collision with another vehicle on Stone Drive at the Netherland Inn Lane intersection.
According to a report filed by Kingsport Police Department Officer Dusty Jackson, shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday a westbound Chevrolet Equinox was making a left turn from West Stone Drive to Netherland Inn Lane.
A 2012 Triumph Explorer was traveling eastbound on West Stone Drive in the right lane. The driver of the Equinox, Paulette Whitley, 64, Bays Cove Trail, Kingsport, reportedly stated she did not see the Explorer.
Jackson stated in his report that the Equinox pulled into the path of the motorcycle, causing a collision.
The driver of the Explorer, Gregory Marlow, 46, Wellington Boulevard, Kingsport, was transported to Holston Valley Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing by the Kingsport Police Department Traffic Division.
