A resident of Sevier Terrace Drive woke up to find his Jeep Cherokee missing, while a note from a woman who had stayed with him the night before stated, "went to get me sumn 2 drink be right back!" Nearly four hours later his vehicle had not been returned and he called police. An officer spotted the Jeep traveling northbound on Eastman Road and attempted to conduct a stop. The driver, who was indeed the woman named by the victim, reportedly accelerated away and turned onto Spring Street, Park Street and Pierce Street — speeding past pedestrians at approximately 55 mph. She eventually pulled over and was arrested for motor vehicle theft, evading arrest, reckless endangerment and driving on a suspended license.

Hawkins County police served a warrant on a woman wanted in Kingsport. Court records state the 19-year-old was working as clerk at a convenience store on West Stone Drive when she sold beer to an underage friend. During that same night in November she allegedly exited the store on two occasions, at which point individuals who had earlier accompanied the minor entered and stole nearly $700 worth in cigarettes and beer. The incidents were captured by surveillance footage, while the clerk was charged with criminal responsibility and selling alcohol to a minor.

Police spoke with a man who was staggering around the Dollar General on New Beason Well Road, while cuts to his hand were leaving a "trail of blood" throughout the store. He allegedly spoke with slurred speech, cursing police as they detained him. Officers learned he was the suspect in an incident on nearby Tate Drive, where the resident ordered him to leave after stealing her children's candy. He allegedly punched out a door's stained glass before departing, told the woman she'd "regret this" and held a pocket knife to her dog's throat. The woman was advised of how to privately prosecute the man, 35, while officers arrested him for disorderly conduct and drunkenness at the Dollar General.

An officer en route to her home was advised that she now was at the corner of Elm Spring Road and Highway 11W, where she was found still on the phone with central dispatch. She was arrested and charged with calling 911 in non-emergency situations.
