A speeding car crashed into a West Market Street motel Thursday afternoon, injuring three people, including a child, Johnson City police said.
The car was heading east on West Market about 2:45 p.m. when it went off the left side of the road, crossed the other lanes of traffic and went up a hill onto the Johnson Inn property at 2700 W. Market St.
The car struck the motel's swimming pool area, a fence and a power pole before crashing into the motel's office and coming to rest on its side.
