The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation has issued an air quality action day for the Tri-Cities area.
A Code Orange Air Quality Alert for ozone has been posted for today.
Ground level ozone concentrations in the region may approach of exceed unhealthy standards. Members of sensitive groups may experience health effects, but the general public in not likely to be affected.
