Nov. 2
Police were called to Westside Inn on a report of a woman, "running around outside naked in the parking lot." A responding officer located her nude in the floor of a room and appearing to have a seizure. When EMS responded the woman, 30, "became very belligerent and was threatening to fight them." After refusing multiple commands to put on clothes — and growing more combative — she was arrested for disorderly conduct. A man at the motel room claimed to be her ex-boyfriend, offering that she's been "acting crazy" since their breakup.
Nov. 7
A disturbance over unpaid water bills led to a woman allegedly being struck in the head with a skillet. Her boyfriend was arrested for aggravated assault.

Nov. 5
Police responded to a residence on Bristol Caverns Highway after a dispute over a fake Christmas tree. The alleged victim said he was visiting an acquaintance, who stated he could take the tree that had been sitting on the edge of their property. But a 64-year-old woman at a neighboring home took issue with the tree grabber, striking him in the head with a stick. She was arrested for aggravated assault.
A man on Vance Tank Drive claimed he wasn't behind on payments for a Chevrolet Suburban, but a repo man was taking the vehicle. The caller then advised they didn't have the title — as they had "traded a paint job" for the Suburban — prompting a dispatcher to suggest he hire an attorney.
Nov. 6
A possibly drunk driver was reported on Highway 394. The caller claimed to have seen the man urinate at the side of the road, jump back in his car and drive away.
Hawkins County Sheriff's Office
Nov. 7
A renter on Big Elm Road reported his landlord — also his sister — has set an upcoming court date for his eviction, but has already turned off the electricity so he'll leave sooner.
Police served an arrest warrant on Elm Springs Road for failure to appear. The suspect was found "hiding in a wall compartment" in the bathroom and refused to come out, allegedly screaming, "I'm not going back to jail!" After a short struggle he was taken into custody, additionally charged with resisting arrest.
Nov. 8
A Surgoinsville man was arrested after allegedly assaulting his estranged wife. According to a police report, the woman said he was mad over nude photos, "he thought was being sent to some other person other than him."
