In a letter to the Johnson City Press, the man charged with killing a friend and dumping her body off the Butler Bridge claims the woman’s death was an accident during sex and said panic led to him tossing her body into a lake.
Steven Odell Bennett, 31, is scheduled for a preliminary hearing today in Washington County Sessions Court on second-degree murder and abuse of a corpse charges.
In the letter, Bennett explained his version of what happened Sept. 29, the night Vonda Berry Marshall Donaldson died.
