Most federal, state, county and municipal offices will be closed or alter schedules Monday in observance of the Labor Day holiday.
In Kingsport, most city offices, including the Kingsport Public Library, Senior Center and Renaissance Center, will be closed Monday for the holiday.
There will be no changes to garbage, trash, recycling and brush collection routes.
Bays Mountain Park will be open Monday on its fall schedule, running from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with expanded weekend hours. On weekends, the Bays Mountain Park Nature Center will close at 7 p.m., and the entire park will close at 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Mount Carmel Town Hall will be closed Monday. Trash collection schedules will not be affected by the holiday.
Church Hill Town Hall will be closed Monday. Garbage collection routes scheduled to be picked up Monday will be collected Tuesday.
Rogersville Town Hall will be closed for the holiday. Monday’s garbage collection routes will be picked up along with Tuesday’s routes.
Surgoinsville Town Hall will be closed Monday. Monday’s garbage collection routes will be picked up Tuesday. Tuesday’s routes will be collected Wednesday.
The Scott County Courthouse and most county offices will be closed for the holiday.
Gate City Town Hall will be closed Monday. Garbage collection routes will be one day late the remainder of the week.
The Wise County Courthouse and most county offices will be closed Monday.
Big Stone Gap Town Hall will be closed. Garbage collection will be on a regular schedule.
Coeburn Town Hall will close for the holiday. Trash collection schedules will remain the same.
Norton City Hall will be closed Monday. Residential and commercial garbage will be picked up on a regular schedule. Residents are asked to have garbage out by 8 a.m. Recycling will be picked up Tuesday.
Wise City Hall will be closed. Monday’s and Tuesday’s garbage collection routes will be picked up Tuesday.
Appalachia Town Hall will be closed. Monday’s trash collection routes will be picked up along with Tuesday’s routes.
The Lee County Courthouse and most county offices will be closed.
Jonesville Town Hall will be closed Monday. Garbage collection schedules will remain unchanged.
Pennington Gap Town Hall will be closed for the holiday. Monday’s garbage collection routes will be picked up along with Tuesday’s routes.
The Lee County landfill and all convenience centers will operate on a regular schedule.
All branches of the Lonesome Pine Public Library (Gate City, Big Stone Gap, Coeburn, Wise, St. Paul, Pennington Gap and Rose Hill) will be closed today and Monday.
