Police were asked to check on a suspicious man at the Boone Lake dam who was, "looking at young girls through binoculars."
Aug. 17
A man along Pond Springs Road was allegedly making "lewd gestures" to passing motorists.
Hawkins County Sheriff's Office
Aug. 16
During a disturbance on Jarvis Road a man allegedly threatened to set another on fire and, "watch him burn to death." The suspect had left before police arrived.
Aug. 17
A county woman reported being harassed by telephone, with a man calling 15 times in less than three hours. He would allegedly, "threaten her one call and be preaching the next."
Kingsport Police Department
Aug. 18
Shortly before 8 p.m. police responded to a crash on Tranbarger Drive, where a Ford Probe was resting on its top in the center of the road. The driver was not located upon arrival but walked up to the officer a few minutes later. He allegedly stated, "I'm too drunk and crashed my car." He failed field sobriety tests and admitted to drinking "a little less than a case of Keystone beer and some Sailor Jerry's liquor." He was arrested and booked into the city jail.
