Aug. 6
Police were called to East Lawn Funeral Home on Memorial Boulevard after a man walked up to a casket — containing his deceased father — and began to, "curse and shout." When another man attending the funeral told him, "that's not right," the son allegedly, "attacked." The victim reported he was placed in a headlock, but his airway was never completely blocked. He suffered a scratch to the nose, while the suspect was escorted out by the facility's staff. When police arrived he had already fled in his pickup truck, with a report filed in case the victim wished to prosecute.

Police were called to Caney Drive, where a woman claimed neighbors were throwing rocks at her dog and "stealing lightbulbs."
Aug. 8
Customers of Burger King in Blountville were being "harassed" by a man, "standing in the drive-thru."

Aug. 6
A deputy in Sessions Court observed a woman "very unsteady on her feet" and speaking with slurred speech. She was arrested for public intoxication.
Aug. 7
A Henard Road resident reported a neighbor fired a gun at approximately 3:30 a.m., adding such disturbances are, "a problem that occurs just about every night." An officer spoke with the suspect, who claimed he went outside after hearing someone trying to break into his home, then fired one warning shot in the air and another into the ground.
Aug. 8
Police responded to a burglary on Adams Lane, where the resident reported a sword, dog and various alcohol was stolen. Some of the stolen alcohol was found in the road outside his home, the bottles dropped and broken.
