Blotter: Alleged bathroom burglar swipes toilet paper

Wise County Sheriff's Office

April 23

A caller from Big Stone Gap alerted dispatchers to a man "riding a rolling office chair" down 4th Avenue, fearing he may get hit by a car if he, "doesn't get out of the middle of the road."

Sullivan County Sheriff's Office

April 25

A Kingsport resident advised their neighbor, who was armed with a handgun, was yelling and accusing someone of shooting his pig.

A caller from the Rock Springs community reported a suspicious man wearing a suit had knocked on her door, saying he was "helping disabled people."

April 26

An "irate" mother was allegedly causing a disturbance at Sullivan Middle School.

Police were called to a market on Bloomingdale Road due to a female "harassing customers" and refusing to leave.

Two separate callers reported a disturbance outside a business on Shadtowtown Road, where a woman reportedly had a man, "by the head."

April 27

A vehicle crash was reported on Ridge Road in Piney Flats, where a car was spinning the tires while attempting to get out of a ditch. When police arrived the driver, who was crying, asked that she not be taken to jail. An empty bottle of vodka was located in the vehicle, she admitted to drinking and was arrested.

April 28

A Fort Henry Drive resident claimed their home had been burglarized, with just one item stolen: toilet paper from a bathroom.

A caller from the Bloomingdale area claimed that an 18-year-old male was trying to get a female, 14, to sneak form her home and meet him.

Hawkins County Sheriff's Office

April 25

A resident of Grassy Creek Road reported a "goat from over the hill" came onto his property, then proceeded to eat several flowers out of his garden.

Kingsport Police Department

April 25

A city resident claimed her sister — who is on drugs — was outside her residence and threatening to kill her.

April 26

A man entered the front office of a Lynn Garden motel and locked the door behind him. He then asked the clerk if he could use the phone, claiming a group of men outside were attempting to stab him. The clerk felt a robbery was about to occur and called police, who responded to find the suspect, "unable to sit still and constantly moving." He was suspected of being on prescription drugs, and ultimately arrested for disorderly conduct.

April 27

Dispatch was alerted to a disturbance along Sullivan Gardens Parkway, where several people were reportedly yelling and, "possibly abusing a dog."

April 28

A caller claimed their mother — who had consumed "a good amount" of alcohol — was hitting and pushing people.

Several individuals were reportedly fighting on Stonegate Road, with one suspect armed with nunchucks.
