A suspicious person on New Beason Well Road reportedly entered a pond and then, "crawled into a drain pipe, out the other side and into the woods."
A 12-year-old girl allegedly hit her father with the TV remote during a disturbance on Beidleman Creek Road.
July 28
A man called police from Lisa Lane after his girlfriend doused his car with a gallon of paint.
July 29
Two gunshots were allegedly fired by a woman in a vehicle on Island Road, aimed towards a house her husband was inside.
July 31
Police were dispatched to a fight on Vance Tank Road, where a woman claimed to have been strangled by her drunk fiance. An officer reports the suspect "wasn't making much sense" and kept stating he was protecting the woman, "from the Russian mafia." He was arrested for assault.
Dispatch struggled to get the attention of a caller from Deck Valley Road. The woman was, "talking so fast you can't hardly understand her," leading a dispatcher to believe she was under the influence. It was eventually deciphered that she and another woman were arguing "about having sex" with a man.
Hawkins County Sheriff's Office
July 30
Police spoke with a man in the Hawkins County ER who was being treated for a lacerated chin and broken jaw. The victim stated he witnessed a fight between his brother, sister and sister-in-law, and ran to break it up. While doing so he was hit in the face with a tire iron.
