March 28
Police were asked to check on a suspicious white powder inside a bag on Timbertree Branch Road. It was located and determined to be laundry detergent.
A cable TV employee was working at a customer's apartment on Bloomingdale Road. While there he was confronted by a neighbor, who demanded that the cable man take away his cable box. When the employee explained that he couldn't, as he didn't have a receipt to give in return, the customer threatened physical harm and "repeatedly spit" on the worker and his truck. The suspect was also belligerent with responding officers, prompting a burst of pepper spray to bring him into custody. He was arrested and charged with assault, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
March 30
A caller reported that a juvenile on Bullock Hollow Road was "holding a rope across the roadway."
March 31
Police were called to a disturbance at a residence on Bell Hollow Road. A female, 23, claimed to have had a Mountain Dew in the refrigerator when she went to bed, but awoke the next day to find someone had drunk it. Two men at the residence confirmed her story, with one saying he called police before the altercation over the swiped Dew could turn physical. The trio stated they could remain at the home without future incident and no police action was taken.
Dispatch was alerted to a suspicious "van full of juveniles" on Holston Drive.
Kingsport Police Department
March 31
A woman exited Pal's onto East Center Street to find her children, ages 7 and 9, were missing from her car. She told dispatch she had been driving around the area for 30 minutes but failed to locate them. Dispatch contacted Pal's staff to put them on the lookout, with the children found safe shortly thereafter.
Police responded to a hit and run crash on Memorial Boulevard, with the suspect vehicle soon located on Central Street. An officer's report says it was weaving in and out of lanes of traffic at approximately 8 to 12 mph. A stop was conducted and the driver was determined to be under the influence. He was arrested for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
On West Stone Drive an officer conducted a stop for improperly displayed tags. The driver allegedly ignored police commands and refused to show his hands, prompting a brief struggle. He was Tasered "just above his buttocks" while the officer suffered a broken hand. The suspect allegedly had dilated pupils and several pill bottles and narcotics in his possession, but could not be subjected to sobriety tests due to his "combative nature." He was transported to the hospital for blood testing, then booked into the city jail on numerous charges.

March 28
A Rogersville woman claimed to have hired a plumbing company out of Morristown to make repairs at her home. They allegedly were at her residence approximately an hour, said they couldn't fix the problem, then charged her $110.
March 29
An officer observed a 1994 Nissan Sentra in the parking lot of Walmart "spinning tires and driving at a very high rate of speed." A traffic stop revealed the driver, 19, was operating the car on a suspended license. He was additionally charged with reckless driving and booked into the county jail.

A man reported visiting a family member's burial plot in Surgoinsville, finding that someone had piled wood and trash on top of it.
A Country Lane man advised someone had taken the battery off his children's Power Wheels riding toy, with him finding it beneath an abandoned trailer.
April 1
A Rogersville man allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and spit in her face, enraged because she refused to buy him beer.
