ELIZABETHTON — A months-long undercover operation inside county schools by Carter County Sheriff's Department deputy has resulted in the arrest of 14 people, including five juveniles, on drug and other charges.
Sheriff Chris Mathes revealed the operation during a press conference Monday morning. He said charges of sale of schedule III and VI drugs, possession of firearms by convicted felons, contributing to delinquency of a minor and criminal impersonation charges were handed down.
There was also a charge of sexual battery in a case in which a student exposed himself and committed other actions towards the female undercover officer while inside the a classroom.
