Teen attempts to throw block from moving vehicle, falls out onto Sullivan County road

July 20

A deputy found a BMW sitting on Kincaid Street with, "the rear wheels over the embankment," and the frame, "sitting on the asphalt." A woman in the driver's seat appeared intoxicated, had to be helped from the car and advised she had, "forgotten where she was." She was arrested for DUI. The officer reports that while awaiting a wrecker to remove the car she, "continued to ask what time breakfast was served."

July 22

A man spotted a Chevy Blazer — which "revved the engine" and had his ex-girlfriend in the passenger seat — drive past his home on Elizabethton Highway. He admitted to getting angry and throwing a baseball bat at the vehicle, which then turned around and repeatedly drove back and forth. During one pass the ex-girlfriend, 19, was "hanging out of the window" and allegedly "threw a block." While doing so she, "fell out of the window and landed in the road," requiring a trip to the hospital. The ex-boyfriend was charged with aggravated assault for slinging the bat at the vehicle.

July 19

A woman returning to her home on Carters Valley Loop found her boyfriend and, "a 14-year-old neighbor female in the bedroom." The woman reported that both claimed, "they were only kissing," while the boyfriend, 21, was later interviewed at the police department. He allegedly admitted to having intercourse with the juvenile over the past two weeks, was arrested and charged with statutory rape. He is also charged with false imprisonment, as the girl claimed he once, "grabbed her arm and wouldn't let her leave."

July 20

A resident of Country Lane claimed that two days prior a van pulled into her front yard and the occupants began, "cursing and making threats." The officer reports the people were arguing, "about drugs and prostitution."

July 21

A woman reported occupants of a mini-van on Goshen Valley Road were throwing phone books out the window. She wanted a report filed because she believed it was littering to throw phonebooks onto driveways that lead to vacant properties.

July 22

A storage unit on Melinda Ferry Road was reportedly burglarized. Stolen items included 40 video games and a baseball autographed by the 2007 Atlanta Braves.

Kingsport Police Department

July 20

A woman was reportedly performing a sex act on a man at an East Center Street car wash. When the witness approached the vehicle it drove away.
