A youth league basketball referee was one of two men arrested Thursday after drug agents intercepted a 10-pound package of “high grade” marijuana delivered to the Gray post office, according to court records.
Zachary S. Worsham, 21, 107 Keeland Dr., Gray, and Mark D. Whitson, 21, 355 Grassy Valley Rd., Gray, were both arrested in the investigation. Both are charged with possession of Schedule VI drugs to sell or deliver.
Worsham told officers he works for Boone Hoops, which is a community-based athletic organization in the Gray area. It is not affiliated with the county school system.
