JONESVILLE — Lee County authorities arrested a Duffield man after he was indicted earlier this week for allegedly sexually abusing two young girls.
Bobby Lee Lewis, 26, was arrested during Tuesday’s indictment roundup on a total of four felony charges, including two counts of forcible sodomy of a child under age 13 and two counts of aggravated sexual battery of a child under 13.
If convicted, Lewis could receive anywhere from five years to life in prison on each of the forcible sodomy counts and one to 20 years on each aggravated sexual battery count.
According to the Lee County Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office, Lewis is accused of forcing two young girls — one age 3 and the other age 5 at the time the alleged offense took place — to touch him inappropriately.
Lee County Commonwealth’s Attorney Shawn Hines said the charges stem from a single event that allegedly occurred in March 2011.
