A Jonesborough woman was killed Sunday in a two vehicle collision outside of Tri-Cities Regional Airport.
The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred at approximately 3:45 p.m at the intersection of Highway 75 and Airport Circle.
Lillie M. Hensley, 73, reportedly pulled her 2004 Dodge Caravan off of Airport Circle and onto the highway, entering the lane of travel for an oncoming Ford.
The vehicles collided with Hensley's Dodge coming to rest in a drainage ditch along the shoulder of the road. She was killed in the accident while a passenger, 14, sustained injuries. The driver of the Ford was uninjured.
A THP report no criminal charges or citations are expected to be issued.
