JONESVILLE — Lee County authorities arrested a Tennessee man Thursday who is believed to be involved in a drug trafficking operation after deputies allegedly found hundreds of oxycodone pills inside his vehicle.

William Thomas Fleenor, 50, 463 Harr Trail Road, Blountville, was taken into custody by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office on charges of possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance with intent to distribute.

According to Lee County authorities, Fleenor was allegedly found in possession of 353 oxycodone pills.

Lee County Sheriff Gary Parsons said the narcotics that were confiscated carried a street value of approximately $17,000.

Parsons said the drugs were discovered after LCSO deputies obtained a search warrant to search Fleenor’s vehicle, which was located at Leeman Field on the outskirts of Pennington Gap at the time.

Parsons said officers were able to obtain the warrant due to the vehicle being part of an ongoing narcotics investigation into the trafficking of oxycodone pills from Tennessee into Southwest Virginia.

Following his arrest, Fleenor was transported by deputies to the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Duffield. He is currently being held without bond.
